I've done things

I haven’t updated this blog in several months. why? not sure. Think I’m getting comfortable in my world here in Birmingham of making things, learning about my processes and work, collating all of this information to then release it (the good stuff at least) into the wider world when I’m finished this degree.

But that probably isn’t a good mindset.

The website is in dire need of a revamp, considering its a year old very soon. And I’ve done so many new things since moving to Birmingham, that it would be a shame to not let those things breathe. But (I’ve said but a lot) I can describe some things.

I danced in a dress in a dark dark room by myself for five people

I’ve played a toy drum recital

I destroyed and rebuilt Christmas with help from others

I made a thank you gift video to a dear friend

I made a performance piece in a style I always wanted to do, that wasn’t about you

I participated in a battle of the bands (and won) (somehow)

I’ve rolled some toilet paper down some stairs

I’ve started handing out bouncy balls to people I think would like them

I’ve eaten some carrots while a friend read hashtags.

There’s more in there.

But it’s late. and I want to sleep. But I like keeping these brief and honest.

I’m making things for me. Living some fantasies in a way. I just want to make things with other people now that live out more fantasies.

Quick summary, I’m doing the things I wanted to do here in Birmingham, but I never thought I’d want to do them or could do them.
